UK Export Finance have agreed their largest ever loan in francophone Africa; a €241 million dual-tranched UKEF facility that will support NMSI’s export contract with Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Health & Public Hygiene in the design, construction and equipping of six state-of-the-art hospitals across the country.
Work on facilities in Bouaké and Boundiali, Katiola, Kouto, Minignan and Ouangolodougou is expected to complete in 2024, along with post-completion training and technical support. Upon completion, these hospitals will provide fully equipped modern healthcare for over a million citizens.
Frederik HSU, Chairman of NMSI said:
“This health infrastructure project will contribute to the continued growth of the economy for years to come and the financing has been realised through the combined efforts of GKB, UKEF, MUFG and the Lenders. DIT and UKEF have played an important role in the achievement of our exporting success”
